Help & FAQ

Straight answers to the questions families ask most.

What is FamilyHub?

FamilyHub is a family operating system — a simple structure that helps your family stay connected, aligned, and moving in the same direction. You add your family members, capture the challenges you're facing, hold regular family rhythms (like a weekly Parent Sync), keep an eye on relationships, and build toward a shared vision. It's not another chore app — it's the system underneath the chores.

Is FamilyHub free?

Yes. Sign up for free and start working on your family right away — no credit card, no trial clock. Down the road we may offer some optional extras for sale, but only if they seem genuinely valuable to you, and nothing paid will stand between you and the core experience.

Why can't I see all the modules yet?

Modules unlock progressively as your family builds momentum: first you stabilize (add members, capture issues), then you orient (start rhythms, look at relationships), then you operate (vision, responsibilities, rituals). This isn't a paywall — it's pacing. Each step earns the next so your family builds real habits instead of drowning in features on day one.

Who can have an account?

Parents, guardians, and invited advisors (like a grandparent or mentor) can hold accounts. Children and teens can't log in — they exist in FamilyHub as family members you add and care for, not as users. This is deliberate: FamilyHub is a tool for the people leading the family.

How do I invite my spouse or co-parent?

Go to Members, add them as a parent with their email address, and send the invitation. They'll get an email with a link that's valid for 7 days. Once they accept, they'll see the same family you do. And no — they don't need to be as bought-in as you are on day one. That's normal.

What happens to the information I enter about my kids?

It stays private to your family, and it exists solely so FamilyHub can work for you. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't use your children's information for anything beyond running the product. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

What do the AI features do with my data?

Some features offer optional AI writing help — like rephrasing an issue or suggesting a mission statement. When you use one, only the text you submit is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the suggestion. It's rate-limited, always optional, and never runs in the background analyzing your family.

What's a Rhythm? What's a Parent Sync?

A rhythm is a recurring family meeting — the operating cadence of an intentional family. The Parent Sync is the cornerstone: a short weekly meeting where parents get aligned on issues, the week ahead, and each kid. Other rhythms include family huddles, one-on-one check-ins, and quarterly retreats. What you don't schedule, you drift from.

How do I delete my account or my family?

Go to Settings and scroll to the Danger Zone. You can delete your own account, or (if you're the family admin) delete the entire family and all of its data. Deletion asks you to type a confirmation phrase because it's permanent — and it really is permanent.

How do I get help or report a problem?

Email us at evjay.a@gmail.com. FamilyHub is built by a small team of parents — a real person reads every message.
