FamilyHub

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 4, 2026

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using FamilyHub, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service. We've written them in plain English on purpose.

2. Who can use FamilyHub

Accounts are for adults — parents, guardians, and invited family advisors. Children and teens cannot create or hold accounts; they appear in FamilyHub only as family members added by a parent or guardian. By adding information about another person, you confirm you have the authority to do so.

3. Your account

Keep your login credentials safe and give us accurate information. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us right away.

4. The service

FamilyHub is free to use. Optional paid offerings may be introduced in the future — but only as additions, and only if we believe they're genuinely valuable. The core experience of organizing and working on your family will not be paywalled out from under you. FamilyHub is actively developed, which means features may be added, changed, or occasionally retired as the product improves.

5. Your content

Your family's data belongs to your family — full stop. By using FamilyHub you grant us only the limited license needed to store, process, and display that data in order to operate the service for you. We claim no other rights to it.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no unlawful activity, no attempting to break or probe the security of the platform, no scraping or harvesting data, no abusive or harassing behavior toward others, and no entering information about people you don't have the authority to represent.

7. AI features

FamilyHub includes optional AI-assisted writing features. Their suggestions are writing help — nothing more. They are not therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or professional family counseling, and shouldn't be treated as any of those. You know your family; the AI doesn't.

8. Payments

If you purchase an optional paid offering in the future, payments will be processed by Stripe. You'll always see the exact price before being charged, and you'll be able to manage or cancel any subscription through the billing portal.

9. Termination and deletion

You can stop using FamilyHub and delete your account or family at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, but we'll be reasonable about it — this exists to protect families using the service, not to trap anyone.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

FamilyHub is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable and secure, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Family Project's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, for free users, is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

If we update these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Questions about these terms: evjay.a@gmail.com.
